The Political Team

Our Commitment

Culminating with the prediction of the Democratic Party’s nominee for President of the United States, the Political Department contributes years of diligent research, analysis and projections.

Mock Con aims to be the most informed non-campaign group each cycle, taking in all available data possible. In addition to looking at polls and other public-facing information, the Political Department relies on communication with individual campaigns, the DNC, and operatives and journalists acting on the ground in each state.

By 2028, the department will consist of 1,500 staff members, spanning from Party Analysts to Regional Chairs to individual State Delegation members.

Driven by transparency and research for 118 years >>>

Our Strategy

The department utilizes a trident strategy, consisting of a national, regional and local approach. While the delegations spearhead the local approach, emphasis is also placed on national trends and prevelant issues among the party. The national approach is embodied by the Party Platform, which is compiled and published by the Political Team the weekend of the Convention.
