The 26th Washington and Lee University is excited to announce the speakers at Friday and Saturday's Spring Kickoff events:
The Charles Evans Hughes Speaker on Friday evening in Wilson Hall will be Delegate Ben Cline of the Virginia House of Delegates. Delegate Cline represents Virginia's 24th Legislative District, which includes the city of Lexington and Rockbridge County. Delegate Cline is currently serving his seventh term in the House, but also maintains a private law practice in Lexington and other nearby localities.
The John W. Davis Speaker on Saturday afternoon on the Colonnade will be economist Todd G. Buchholz. The former White House senior economic advisor under President George H. W. Bush, Buchholz was also a managing director of the Tiger hedge fund and is a best-selling author. Buchholz is a frequently sought-after speaker on global politics and financial markets, and a regular contributor to media such as The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.
